"yo kids.....
o.k. so I took your feedback and came up with 3 versions - let me know
what you like best.
I'm sticking with using a red color because its the most eye catching.
The printers are running (printing) these in a batch run (they are
printed with a bunch of other postcards at once)......you are allowed
as many colors as you want on the front side and just black on the
back.....basically I got it all taken care of...(I do this for a
living)....and the $40 each bucks is a good price for what we want to
do.
anyway....ummm, I'm tired and want to go to bed....
so let me know which ones you guys like....I can't see straight right
now....and will be able to see which one I like in the morning...
as far as a title is concerned --- I just went with 'New Members Show'
----bet let me know if you liked 'Your Art Here Today' --- Kurt
expressed some interest.
Kurt, I also tried mocking up some of your idea's - but I wasn't
getting anywhere with them.
I liked your suggestion of 'Old is the New Old' or 'Old is the New
Art'.......but it wasn't growing on me after a couple days.....I figure
this is the case with my half-assed suggestion of 'Your Art Here
Today'...which I know I will hate in the morning.
so I'm going to make a stab and proclaim our show as the 'NEW MEMBERS
SHOW' --- I know, I know its brilliant!
Actually, its Duc's idea....Duc, your BRILLIANT!
anyway let me know which one you like or if you hate them all. I'm
going to run the file down to the printer tomorrow by noon....so we
have a couple hours in the morning to make changes.
thanks for you help....matthew"

Every night it circles around
We park our words next to each other
Hoping to catch spirits in flight
Holding patterns
Runways too short to clear
Every night circles about me
In quiet destitute
Waiting for signals to land
These hands have a memory of it's own
They remember the thin belt around your waist
They hold as our bodies shifted to music and rhythm
These memories are recast into dreams
Years later I dream that I danced
We park our words next to each other
Hoping to catch spirits in flight
Holding patterns
Runways too short to clear
Every night circles about me
In quiet destitute
Waiting for signals to land
These hands have a memory of it's own
They remember the thin belt around your waist
They hold as our bodies shifted to music and rhythm
These memories are recast into dreams
Years later I dream that I danced

Wanted
i wanted to simplify
ur misfit
i wanted fuel
u wanted to burn
i wanted the taste
and afterwards
take ur hand
to my sternum
hear the little tin drum
rattle beneath ur palm
u wanted to burn clean
i didn't let u
there were charred remains
that i could have use to chart a course
of course
i wanted to draw lines
just for u
